Mr. Sohan Roy, founder director of 10 billion US dollar Project Indywood was awarded with Gathjod Lifetime Achievement Award

Hyderabad| Mr. Sohan Roy, Chairman and CEO of UAE based Aries Group of Companies got awarded with Gathjod Lifetime Achievement Award in Hyderabad at Indywood Film Carnival for his glorious work for Indian Film industry and many other fields. Gathjod India that has started its Lifetime Achievement Award this year is very happy to announce that it selected Mr. Sohan Roy for their first Award. Gathjod has done many remarkable works in the social service since last 20 years, has given several remarkable publications to the benefit of the government's welfare activities to the masses. Even it has also given a movie to the world telling the solutions for Global Warming, so that it will be reduced.

Mr. Roy is the founder director of 10 billion US dollar Project Indywood which aims to elevate the Indian Film Industry to global standards in the next five years through a consortium of 2000 Indian billionaires and corporates and make India's 1 rs equals to $1 again. Roy is also making a 300 crore budget movie 'Mahavir Karna'. He is a serial entrepreneur who is consistently featured in Forbes Middle East’s list of Top 50 business owners and a Hollywood filmmaker of Indian origin, Sohan Roy aims to establish 10,000 4K projection multiplex screens, 100,000 2K/4K projection home cinemas, 8K/4K film studios, 100 animation/VFX studios and film schools adhering to international standards through Indywood. Mr. Roy is also the president of Non resident Indian producers association (NRIPA). He is also the president of International Maritime Club (IMC) and the founder of the first global maritime TV channel, Marine BizTV. His debut Hollywood venture as the movie director of ‘DAM999′ triggered worldwide debates & rethinking on dam safety and its ecological impact. The movie was shortlisted for the Oscars and its script written by him has been selected by the Oscar Library to its permanent core collection. His documentary titled “DAMs – the Lethal Water Bombs? has won 23 International Awards. He has 6 International technical paper presentations and 25 fully developed creative research products to his credit. He is also the producer and Project Designer of various International Movie Projects, and promoter of Indian Movies at International Film Festivals. His passion towards technology drove him to set up Ariesplex, the first dual 4K ATMOS theatre in the country, and establish the first Total security Studio Network Platform complying Motion Picture Association of America standards to execute post-production works of international projects in India along with co-production and distribution support. 

Sohan Roy is also the CEO and founder of Aries Group of Companies, a consortium of 45 companies from 15 countries with its headquarters in the UAE. A Naval Architect by Profession and a Guinness Entry recipient, he also holds a Diploma in Film Direction from the Hollywood Film Institute.
